Travelling Fellowships 2014

Travelling Fellowships are aimed at supporting SpR's in their first year of travel abroad to undertake subspecialty training in a centre of excellence. Fellowships are awarded following a competative application process.

Three travelling fellowships are available to SpR's this year - the MSD Travelling Bursary, BMS Travelling Bursary and the Brian McGovern Travelling Bursary which is supported by the Irish Cardiac Society.

Previous Winners:

The winner of the 2014 MSD Travelling Fellowship was Dr. Antoinette Neylon. 

Dr. Neylon travelled to the Institute Cardiovasculaire Paris Sud, France, to undertake an interventional fellowship in percutaneous coronary artery disease as well as structural heart / peripheral vascular interventions.

The winner of the 2014 Brian McGovern Fellowship was Dr. Andy Roy. Dr. Roy also took up a post in the Institute Cardiovasculaire Paris Sud, France.


The winner of the 2014 BMS Bursary was Dr. Mark Kennedy.  Dr. Kennedy is pursuing an interventional cardiology fellowship in the Department of Interventional Cardiology, Isla Klinieken, Zwolle, The Netherlands.
